Linda Zacks is a versatile art director, illustrator, designer and artist. She graduated from Brown University in 1995, where she studied semiotics and creative writing (with a little economics thrown in for good measure). She spent her junior year at The Rhode Island School of Design in the design department.
Since 1998, she has been creating unexpected connections between people, ideas, art and brands.
Her distinct ideas and visual style has also been behind a succession of innovative campaigns for Country Music Television, eBay, Nickelodeon's The N, and other leading companies.
Most recently, Sony Style commissioned her to create the "Back 2 School Essentials" campaign, a series of eight large-scale images to promote their retail stores nationally. In 2005, she was invited to contribute to the special issue of the New Yorker sponsored entirely by Target.
Prior to launching a freelance career, Linda was Design Director at Vh1.com, where she led the redesign and directed both in-house and sub-contracted designers in interface development, animation and interactive design.
Linda was chosen as a "fresh" artist in 2007 Communication Arts Advertising Design Annual. Her work has also been featured internationally in magazines such HOW and IdN.
She has also won awards from professional organizations and publications including some Broadcast Design Awards.
Her work has been recognized by design websites around the globe from Australia to Iceland to Colombia to Russia. Her one of a kind style has also been included in various exhibitions worldwide.
