Linda Zacks is equal parts design, illustration, paint, poetry, zip, and zoom - a powerhouse of ideas and creativity. She graduated from Brown University studying semiotics and creative writing and spent her junior year at The Rhode Island School of Design. Before launching a freelance career, Linda was Design Director at Vh1.com, spearheading everything from redesigns to directing both in-house and sub-contracted designers. She brought business savvy and rode the web boom leaving her unique mark on a handful of start-ups and major corporations.
Since going solo in 04, she's been hunkered down in her creative laboratory in Brooklyn called "extra-oomph," concocting pieces that churn with a vivacious energy. Some notable projects include: the Target takeover of The New Yorker; a national "Back 2 School" campaign for Sony; parts of a "crazy A" for Adobe; a mural in the Paris subway, and funky colorful characters for Nickelodeon's teen network The N.
Along the way, Linda has been recognized with Broadcast Design Awards, selected as a "Fresh Artist" by Communication Arts and her one of a kind style has been included in exhibitions worldwide.
